Chamber Committees

Transportation & Housing Committee

2nd Thursday at Noon, Bi-monthly

Monitors and evaluates transportation system and housing issues.

Governmental Relations Committee

3rd Wednesday, at Noon, Bi-monthly

Studies and speaks out on all government activities that affect local business.

Education Committee

1st Wednesday, at Noon

Working in conjunction with local educational institutions to determine ways in which business can participate to improve community schools.

Economic Development Committee

1st Tuesday, at Noon

Develops and implements plans to attract and retain commercial and industrial development in Redwood City and San Mateo County.

Ambassadors Committee

1st Monday, at Noon

Serves as a liaison to the Chamber’s membership. Attends networking mixers, ribbon cuttings and grand openings.

119th Annual Awards Dinner

Each year, the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce organizes a beautiful evening to honor and thank the many individuals and organizations who help make our Chamber a successful business advocacy group. At the 2016 Annual Dinner, the Chamber honored Eric Lochtefeld as the Chamber’s Person of the Year, Tom Mohr was honored as the Chamber’s first ever Cornerstone Award recipient, Stephanie Kolkka was honored as Business Woman of the Year, and W.L. Butler was honored with the Golden Apple Award. Our Legacy Award Winners were Sequoia Hospital, Broadway Cleaners and Porta’s Auto Body and Towing Company.  Leila Perreras was honored as the Ambassador of the Year.   Click here to see photos of the Annual Dinner held at Pullman SF Bay Hotel on January 26th, 2017.

Progress Seminar

For over 45 years, the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce has been putting together the Progress Seminar. The Progress Seminar is a time for discussion, connection and enjoyment together and with those who are excited about building on San Mateo County’s success. With keynotes, panels and informal gatherings, we listen and discuss with each other, the concerns and issues of the day.
